Audio Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Sonos vs Sonance vs Klipsch — which do I want?

Sonos is the streaming and zone-control layer (it’s the brain). Sonance and Klipsch are the speakers (the hardware). Most whole-home audio installs use BOTH — Sonos amps driving Sonance hidden in-wall speakers in primary rooms, Sonos Move/Roam for portable, Klipsch for outdoor or theater.

How much does whole-home audio cost?

Entry-level Sonos with 3-4 zones using their wireless speakers: $3,000-$8,000. Mid-range with 8-12 zones of in-ceiling Sonance speakers and Sonos Amps: $15,000-$30,000. Premium with reference-grade Sonance/KEF/Klipsch throughout: $35,000-$100,000+.

Can I add to my Sonos system later?

Yes — Sonos is modular by design. Start with the primary 4-5 rooms, add zones over time. The system grows with you.

Will outdoor speakers survive Cincinnati winters?

Yes. We install IP-rated weatherproof speakers (Sonance Landscape, Klipsch outdoor) rated for snow, ice, summer heat. Cincinnati climate is well within their design envelope.
