Can I program Control4 myself?

No. Control4 is sold and serviced exclusively through certified integrators. Composer Pro (the programming tool) is only available to certified dealers — which is why systems stay reliable.

Will Control4 work with Alexa and Google Home?

Yes. Control4 integrates with Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit, and Josh.ai for voice control. We set up integration as part of your install.

What happens if my internet goes down?

Most of your Control4 system continues to work — lights, audio, climate, and scenes all run locally. Only cloud-dependent features (remote app access, certain streaming services) are affected.

How long does Control4 installation take?

Retrofit smart home: 1–3 weeks. Full new-construction whole-home Control4: 4–8 weeks coordinated alongside other trades.

Can you service the Control4 system installed by my previous integrator?

Yes. We routinely take over Control4 systems from other dealers when the original installer went out of business, moved, or wasn’t responsive. We review, identify issues, and bring up to current standards.
